University of Maine

Sheila Edalatpour is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maine. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal Sciences from the University of Utah in 2016. Her research is focused on radiative heat transfer at the nanoscale. She is interested in developing computational models that enable fundamental understanding of the mechanisms of radiative heat transfer at nanoscale, as well as experimental demonstration of thermal radiation phenomena at the nanoscale. Sheila’s work has been published in several peer-reviewed journal papers as well as conference papers and presentations. Her research is supported by the National science Foundation and the Department of Energy. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the University of Maine’s College of Engineering Early Career Research Award, as well as the University of Maine Faculty Mentor Impact Award.
